Valle Esina spa
Bonded leather and fibreboard
For 50 years, a forerunner in eco-sustainability and recycling
Originally a leather tannery, in 1972 the Valle Esina company turned to recycling and became a producer of Regenerated Leather Fibres. In 1998, the Valle Esina company made its debut in the fibreboard market with articles such as Tallonit and Glamour (registered trademarks), which stand out for their excellent quality.
In Bonded Leather, waste becomes raw material, a valuable resource for the footwear, leather goods, luxury packaging, and furniture industries. It is obtained from the recycling of natural leather cuttings and shavings, with a 60-70% of recovered materials. The regenerated product is offered in a wide range of articles and thicknesses (from 0.3 to 6 mm) and proves to be a perfect and sustainable substitute for natural leather, equalling its characteristics at a lower cost. Valle Esina Fibreboard, on the other hand, is mainly produced from recovered cellulose fibres and paper. This product combines respect for the environment with the highest physical-mechanical characteristics and is mainly used to make insoles or heel seats for luxury footwear.
