The company’s Eco-green research and development, started by the company in 2022, aims to intervene in the entire tanning process to achieve a 15% annual saving in the use of water and chemicals by 2026. Eight resources are dedicated, and multiple actions are being implemented. The company has established minimum production quantities to avoid unnecessary waste; it has then dedicated itself to the development of optimised re-tanning formulas and new types of finishing that use less water; finally, new processes and machinery make it possible to recover solvents, reuse wastewater, and save energy.
