Integration of MindCut software offers a modular and configurable set of tools for automated cutting solutions

Zünd Systemtechnik AG, a Swiss family-owned company active worldwide, specialises in digital cutting systems. Zünd stands for Swiss quality and thus for precision, performance and reliability. Since 1984, Zünd has been a global leader in the production and marketing of modular cutting systems for various sectors such as textiles, leather goods, technical textiles and composites, graphics and packaging. The headquarters in Altstätten houses the Research & Development, Marketing and Production departments. With its digital cutting solutions for leather applications, the Zünd Systemtechnik AG company integrates Mind software from Portugal. The MindCut software suite offers a modular and configurable set of tools for automated cutting solutions, including material digitisation and classification, online and offline nesting, and automatic or interactive nesting. The systems are configured to handle every type of workflow, from samples or small batches up to full production runs with medium or large volumes. The user interface features process integration between management information systems (MIS) and production workflow. In addition to Scan-to-Stock, the MindGest software also supports the Scan-to-Order-Workflow, an offline process that allows leathers to be digitised and the nesting of the cut away from the cutter, via an acquisition system such as MindCut. After being digitised, in the Scan-to-Stock-Workflow, the leathers are temporarily “stored” until production starts. The software also enables the customised configuration of labels for marking the digitised leathers.
