Erretre was founded in 1974 in Arzignano as a technical studio with the aim of designing new ideas and machinery for the leather making process.

On the strength of consolidated experience and know-how, the company offers innovative solutions such as milling drums and spraying lines, as well as hardware and software systems for the automation and digitalisation of processes, easy to use that allow the customer to collect data, for tracking, analysis and documentation of production, with the ultimate goal of quality and repeatability of the finished product.

Research and innovation are at the heart of the company's vision: tangible proof are the more than one hundred patents filed and the ongoing collaborations with tanneries and chemical companies around the world. Sustainability furthermore is another pillar: Erretre technologies reduce pollutants and waste.

In 2009, the acquisition of Fratelli Carlessi, which produces advanced technologies for drying and conditioning leather, further strengthened the company.

Today, Erretre is part of the driving force behind the Italtannery project, a network of companies whose aim is to optimise the entire leather making cycle and guarantee complete traceability of hides and compliance with quality standards.
