For three generations, Bertoni Valigeria, a Varese-based company specialising in the production of suitcases and leather goods, has been working side by side with big fashion brands, supporting them in the development and creation of their collections. Not only suitcases and trolleys, but also bags, duffle bags, briefcases, and design and furnishing items.

The Bertoni company oversees the entire process of creating a high-end object, from modelling to research and development of materials, from sampling to industrialisation and production.

The developed designs combine artisan savoir-faire with material and technical experimentation that emphasises innovation. The in-house carpentry still makes the drums for the samples by hand but, at the same time, Industry 4.0 machinery makes it possible to speed up times and monitor quality in real time.

The company’s strengths include its attention to the smallest details and the ability to see outside the box to find technical solutions for the production of every type of article, even the most complex. Last but not least is the in-house training service for staff, with the aim of passing on their know-how to the younger generation.
