The eco-friendly soul of a company that focuses on quality and innovation

Seventy years have passed since the Tacchificio Molinella company invented and industrialised the women’s heel. Combining the maximum technical and aesthetic result of a heel with today’s eco-sustainability requirements is yet another challenge enthusiastically adopted. As far as energy efficiency is concerned, the company uses only self-generated electricity from its own 100Kw photovoltaic plant and makes use of “full electric” transformation machinery that combines absorption efficiency with less maintenance, disposal of used oil and consumables. The company also performs closed-loop control of water mains for conditioning the machinery. 

Thanks to PSV certification - Plastica Seconda Vita da sottoprodotto (Second Life Plastic from by-product), the Tacchificio Molinella company gives value to the waste of non-functional plastic parts of the production process: instead of ending up in landfills, a percentage of the polymer is recycled and reused for the production of heels and top pieces. The company also supplies articles with polymers containing a percentage of biomaterial not derived from oil sources and ISCC PLUS BIO-CIRCULAR certified, thus guaranteeing the reduction of CO2 emissions in an accurate and quantifiable way.
