Founded in 1973 on the initiative of Mr. Dal Lago Gianni, Escomar Italia srl has been world-famous for years for its business of representing and trading in reconditioned machines.
But the real starting point, which is still of primary importance to us today, is the maintenance we carry out daily at tanneries in northern Italy.
This close contact with the tannery, and especially with the problems of the tanning industry, is the stimulus and source of our technology.
A typical example of this is the first machine we built in 1978, the automatic re-rolling machine with grinding and balancing, which is a specially maintained machine and of which we were the first manufacturer worldwide.

About 10 years later, given the company's development in the overhaul of used machines, Escomar Italia srl began the construction of the continuous wet blue press, which immediately met with great market success, which continues to this day in the version with inverted cylinders type 'PCR'.
A major technological effort was subsequently made for the design and construction of the stacked-platen vacuum.
The entire system was in fact designed to meet the most diverse requirements on a machine that must be reliable, have high productivity, and ensure the best drying.
To achieve this, special solutions have been adopted such as the double condensation system, the independent shelf frame, the aluminium carrier frame, etc.

However, producing a very good machine was not enough for us. We therefore continued our studies and research to develop a revolutionary low temperature drying system with "dry" suction, called "Evo-Dry", which allows vacuum drying of leathers below 45°C with lower energy costs than a normal vacuum pump, eliminating discharges of contaminating water or oil, guaranteeing a drying quality that only low temperature can give, and offering the possibility to the tannery to dry any type of leather with minimum running costs.
The development of the machine that logically completes the activity and production of Escomar Italia srl also continues: the continuous holding and drying machine.
In fact, on the strength of our experience with the wet blue press, we have developed and patented a system equipped with up to 3 spreading cylinders, which allows an optimal opening of the leather to achieve the "put-to-wind" effect. The special features of this system allow whole hides, splits, etc. to be processed continuously, increasing productivity especially in the subsequent vacuum drying phase.

Also presented at Tanning Tech 2023 was the latest evolution of the hydraulic press for wet blue: the PCR8 continuous press, with 8 hydraulic pressing cylinders, which represents the highest performance in wet blue drying on the market today, developing a power of 280 tons, and a production speed of 30 m/min. guaranteeing optimum spreading of the leather thanks to the new leather opening system.

Escomar Italia srl's most recent investment has seen the complete acquisition of the company "New 3P", a historical company in the tanning world founded in 1963, which had first developed the concept of the "Piraña" continuous hydraulic fleshing machine and the "Boy and Jolly Boy" automatic leather drying frame.
Escomar therefore embarked on a process of development and implementation of performance for the New 3P machines as well, in order to integrate them into the Escomar production line.

In conclusion, the path taken by Escomar Italia srl for more than 50 years has been characterised by continuous development and technological progress, always dictated by a strong concept of quality and reliability.

In the light of this company policy, even today the activities of maintenance, overhaul of used machines and the production of new machines are carried out at the service and in collaboration with the tannery, in order to provide increasingly specialised, reliable and customer-friendly machines.
