Laba is a tannery with a complete in-house processing cycle - from the raw material to the finished product - that provides an integrated and tailor-made service to transform a creative idea into a quality leather, ideal for the production of leather goods, footwear, and apparel. The company processes calfskin and young steer skins but handles all types of leather. The photovoltaic system, installed in 2011, has so far avoided the emission of 59,115 kg of CO2; the cogeneration plant for thermal/electric production, on the other hand, guarantees a good degree of energy autonomy. The company is ISO 1400, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 certified and has reconfirmed its LWG Silver Certification in 2022. Last but not least, the Laba tannery offers a chrome free line called ZEO CLEAN based on zeolite.

The flagship of the tannery is the Laba Consulting service, the tailor-made consultancy activity that makes the Laba tannery a true “solution provider” working in partnership with the best Italian and foreign luxury and fashion brands. The company is configured as a research and manufacturing centre, transforming its clients’ requests into products of excellence in line with market needs. And it does so by offering its thirty years of artisan experience and innovation in materials and manufacturing techniques, both in the creation of processes with a view to optimising the final product, and in the design and production of new articles.
