Founded in 1968 by Manlio Sorio, who had the intuition to create the first shearling outerwear for women, the Christia company is now run by his son Nicola. The company has been able to conquer the main global markets thanks to its innovative product that has forever changed the vision of sheepskin: from a sporty and purely masculine garment to an elegant article capable of enhancing the femininity of every woman. The company offers all its know-how and its historical network of master artisans with whom it works side by side, guaranteeing full supervision, to support the brands that want to include top quality shearling garments in their collections.

It all starts with the selection of the softest and lightest sheepskins, which are then worked with skill and attention to detail to give the garment a refined look. With a production capacity of about 1,000 pieces per month, the company is able to conceive, design, and create an article that reflects the client’s needs for customisation and style. Among the characteristics of a sheepskin processed by the Christia company is its lightness, comparable to that of a cashmere article. Unlike fur, the sheepskin used comes from 100% by-products of the food industry, thus contributing to the circular economy.
