There are two big pieces of news for the Mita Foundation. The first is the monitored ranking by the Ministry of Education and Merit, which sees it second in Italy for training performance, and the first ITS in the national fashion system. The second is the arrival of the new president Maurizio Del Vecchia. Director Antonella Vitiello takes stock.

What is the balance for 2022?

«Extremely positive, with many projects in the training and relational sphere. There is further consolidation of the “Career Framework” model, which makes it possible to develop technical-professional profiles. There are also countless collaborations, such as the consolidated one with McArthurGlen Barberino Outlet or the active participation in the Skills4Smart TCLF Blueprint project».

What are your expectations for the upcoming months?

«Special attention is paid to the PNNR funds, which are intended to implement the ITS Academy workshops. The resources allocated for the ITS Academy Mita Foundation are important for enhancing digital technologies». 

What’s new on the way?

«Two main features. The first is the ranking by the Ministry, which sees us in second place nationally in all areas, the first ITS in the Italian fashion system. Until now, no Tuscan ITS and fashion system foundation had gained this position. The second is the arrival of Maurizio Del Vecchia as the new president. Currently president of Del Vecchia SpA, which he joined in 1985, he takes over from Massimiliano Guerrini, who was at the head of Mita for nine years.
