Metal accessories since 1976

The Barnini company in Lastra a Signa has been producing metal accessories since 1976. Roberta and Laura Barnini, both directors and members of the board, describe the company's activities.

What does the company offer today compared to the past?

«Over the years we have been able to expand and increase the departments to obtain a complete processing chain. In 2019, our father Riccardo Barnini passed away, but thanks to the passion he passed on to us, we want to carry on our work with pride and dedication. Ours has always been a family-run business and, over the years, this has not changed. This is one of the characteristics that has enabled us to establish ourselves in the production of high-quality small metal parts, making accessories for footwear, bags, belts, apparel and, in part, furniture».

What is your mission?

«Maintaining high quality standards. We work with our team (20 employees supported by external collaborators) in compliance with current regulations, while ensuring the safest and most serene working environment possible».

What is your relationship with the environment?

«The company is moving towards eco-friendly solutions, from new sustainable products to the recovery of process materials».

What makes you stand out?

«Our accessories are made exclusively in conformity with client designs. We can develop prototypes and counter samples promptly. During the industrialisation phase, we work together with the client to find suitable solutions and materials for the project. Since March 2013, we have completed the production chain with the opening of an electroplating company within the group».

What projects do you have in the pipeline?

«There are many projects in the pipeline, as well as the desire to look ahead. For example, research into light metals or alternative materials, as well as the study of new techniques and different finishes».
