Athena Pelletteria srl
Small leather goods and accessories from A to Z
He inherited the experience and passion for leather goods from his parents, opening his own company, 'Pelletteria Athena'.
Jonathan Corsani is now the sole director of the business, which is based in Strada in Chianti (Florence).
The company has been involved in the development and production of small leather goods and leather accessories for third parties since 2014.
"I started doing this job in the leather goods shop that my parents had opened in 1986," says Jonathan, who is now 34 years old. "It is a job that I have always enjoyed, as has the fashion branch.
The leather goods shop Athena has a workforce of 20 employees and is able to produce an average of 3,000 wallets per month.
"Most of the processing takes place in-house, but we also make use of selected and constantly monitored sub-workers. We also have an in-house pattern-making department that develops and produces samples and prototypes. We are structured in such a way that we manage all product processing steps and aim to optimise and streamline production processes, trying to eliminate time wastage and standardise all operations. This allows us to guarantee certain delivery times and a high quality of the finished product. We care about staff training," he continues, "as well as investing in new machinery and tools, and we are also Iso 9001:2015 certified.
"We are currently divided into 2 warehouses located in the same craft area, but the main objective," he concludes, "is to find a location in the area that will allow us to bring the whole company together.
