The company's industrial structure and artisan mentality

The Gommus company has been producing shoe soles since 1985. The company in Montecarotto (AN) was founded as a workers' cooperative to preserve the tradition of handcrafted rubber and now employs 110 people.

«In the 1980s we only produced rubber soles; today we also work thermoplastic materials such as Tpu and extremely lightweight Blowtech products. 50% of our clients are in Italy and just as many abroad. Besides working for high fashion brands, we have our own various brands, including St. Moritz: a range of high performing soles with quality characteristics». 

St. Moritz is a line with a sober design, inspired by the tradition of master shoemakers in the Marche region and dedicated to demanding clients. With a timeless style, it perfectly complements shoes with a sophisticated design. 

Finally, for the past 8 years, Gommus has been investing in researching eco-sustainable soles, going so far as to introduce zero-impact rubbers made from recycled and recyclable scraps.
