Remmert Spa
When weaving becomes avant-garde
Remmert is a leading Italian tape manufacturer, and now also a leader in piping and prefabricated belts.
In 2020, the company merged with Nastrificio Veneto. The Remmert company was founded in 1874 by Domenico Valle and Andrea Remmert and was later acquired by the Martinetto family, who still own it today.
It is one of the leading companies on the market of fixed, elastic, and comfort woven tape both in Italy and abroad.
In 2007, the company combined tradition and innovation by developing the idea of comfort tape, which, thanks to temperature, pressure, and speed, can give the fixed tape an elasticity that enables it to become more flexible in corner sewing and to replace elastic in some cases without having Lycra or rubber inside.
In the autumn of 2020, Remmert decided to respond to the market crisis by investing in and merging with the Vicenza-based Nastrificio Veneto, a pioneer in the creation of prefabricated belts and piping for the apparel, footwear, and leather goods industries.
Remmert is also part of the Martinetto Group, a solid company in the world of woven belts, including leading companies of excellence such as Filmar, Mabiel and Mabiel International.
