Among the tanning excellences of the Santa Croce sull’Arno (PI) district, the Allegra Tannery company is a leader in the production of dry-cleanable, machine-washable, and thermo-embossed leathers.
After a lengthy experience in vegetable tanning, the Allegra Tannery was born from a previous company in 2019, which changed its production to specialise in leathers that, having the advantage of being water-washable, can be used in apparel, to make, for example, the finishing of cashmere sweaters and coats or jackets and other leather garments, and in the production of accessories (labels, buttons, buttonholes, etc.), footwear, and leather goods (bags, belts, watch straps, etc.).
The high degree of specialisation in leather processing, combined with attention to the quality of raw materials and care for detail, make the Allegra Tannery a unique company of its kind in Tuscany and one of the most important nationwide among manufacturers of washable leather.
