FOCUS
Is it possible to combine the qualities of calfskin with the characteristics of sheepskin? The Curtiba Industria Conciaria company has succeeded in doing so by creating Malibù, a line reminiscent of sheepskin in terms of hand, feel, suppleness, and specific weight, made by processing half calfskins with a hollow napped tanning process, which consents to preventing the leather from aging and remaining compact. Resulting from two years of investment in research and development, the Malibù line has a higher cutting yield than sheepskin and is available in two thicknesses: 0.7/0.8 mm for apparel and 1.1/1.2 mm for leather goods and footwear.
