R.A.M, with its Rodella Technologies brand, has established itself for many years now as a leading company in the production of automatic sewing and stitching systems for the high-end leather goods sector. Thanks to its decades of experience and continuous confrontation both with client needs and with new materials and threads as well as with new digital technologies, R.A.M has decided to take up new challenges by proposing, as per tradition, innovative and highly technological solutions. The first result of this research will be previewed at SIMAC 2024: it is the prototype of a new automatic unit destined to change the production paradigms used up to today.

FOCUS

The latest addition to the Rodella Technologies range, the NBR 1601 Visiodrive is an automatic unit for decorative or assembly stitching for the leather goods, footwear, and automotive industries with an innovative approach to multi-directional stitching. In fact, instead of a rotating sewing head, it only rotates the needle bar. This results in a higher speed of direction changes with the same quality characteristics and thus in improved productivity particularly evident with very elaborate stitching. The new NBR 1601 Visiodrive is equipped with a high-speed camera interfaced with the electronic control system that can read and interpret references on the material and compensate during processing in real time in the  precision transport and guiding of the stitching. The Visiodrive system is also able to compensate any small differences in positioning to avoid high production waste thanks to optical control.
