Tanning artisans in support of the environment

Leather tanning artisan Piero Stefanelli founded his company in 1970. Over fifty years of family-run business, where his daughter Francesca now also works, explains: «Our core-business has always been the production and sale of leather, with processing from raw hides to semi-finished products. We are third party manufacturers and process hides from many different animals only in the wet phase».

The company transforms raw hides into wet blue, wet white and semi-tanned leathers in-house: «Being reliable for the client and working with integrity are our strengths - Francesca Stefanelli continues - We express quality and precision thanks to artisan know-how combined with advanced technologies that characterise every phase of our activity».

 Attention that is also expressed with regards to environmental issues: «In 2023 we achieved LWG Silver certification - concludes Francesca - Reduced energy consumption, wastewater analysis, machinery safety, and proper product preservation, all comply with the strict LWG parameters: a further guarantee of excellence for our clients».
