What is Tod's pashmy leather?

Lightness, softness, luxury: these are the characteristics of Tod's Pashmy project, which last winter launched a line of leather products with exclusive features, with which creative director Matteo Tamburini has reinterpreted classic outerwear from the men's (and women's) wardrobe, such as the bomber jacket and coat.

But what is Pashmy leather? It is a particularly sought-after variety of goatskin, a material that has the characteristic of being particularly thin, which also makes it breathable, which gives objects a feeling of lightness that evokes, precisely, that of pashmina.

Very soft to the touch, goatskin is also very durable and flexible (it is no coincidence that it is also often used for footwear) and is therefore ideal for everyday products.

Tod's uses it in both suède and nappa leather versions, both of which are finished with anti-drip and stain-resistant treatments to increase its strength and prolong the durability of the garment.
