How does the new IT BAG of a historic brand come to life?

The archive as a starting point, and then one's own vision to add a fresh touch. Finally, the skilled hands of artisans bringing to life what will be a new it bag. Last spring Courrèges launched its new iconic bag, designed by creative director Nicolas Di Felice, who has been at the helm of the French brand since 2021.

 

Made of laser-cut and then hand-stitched leather and featuring a circular handle, the Holy Bag is reminiscent, in name and form, of the aesthetic pursued by Di Felice, who, like André Courrèges, seeks a simple, linear design, where the innovation is in the materials. Such as the new eco-friendly vinyl developed using 70 percent recycled bio polyurethane, an evolution of that invented in the 1970s by founder.
