Rick Owens dedicates fashion show to Italian town where he makes his garments

It is called Concordia sulla Secchia and is a town of not even 10,000 inhabitants in the province of Modena. A place like so many in the Italian province, it has since last night become famous throughout the fashion world thanks to Rick Owens' homage to it by dedicating his Fall Winter 2025 collection to it.

Concordia has been a pilgrimage destination for Owens for more than 15 years, and he has now become familiar with the city and its residents (the Concordians Men who give their name to the collection), who have benefited from the presence of Owenscorp, the designer's company, not only because of the human capital employed as labor but also, and more importantly, because of Owens' own approach to the fabric of the city, opening a café and renovating his neighborhood square.

An important place for the designer, then, where he and his team can find the isolation and focus needed to create amazing things. Like the crocodile leather pants and shirts or the latest boots born in collaboration with Straytukay, a very young London artist who had already made the Inflatable Boots presented last January, who this time worked in tandem with Victor Clavelly, who specializes in 3D design and is inspired by the world of video games.

Made of leather, they are composed of a mesh of leather rings that about halfway turn into increasingly long feathers that completely cover the foot and move with each step. The same technique was used by Clavelly for the leather miniskirts.
