Italian innovation in precious metal recovery takes an important step towards global expansion. BTT Italia, a company based in Arezzo specializing in sustainable technologies for the extraction of gold, silver, platinum and copper from electronic waste such as smartphones and computers, has signed a strategic agreement with IC&Partners, a Friulian company with a solid network of offices around the world and thirty years of experience in business internationalization.
Thanks to the partnership, BTT Italia will be able to count on over 20 offices abroad to strengthen its presence in Europe and the Far East, with a focus on commercial development and customer support in markets already active. “This agreement represents a multiplier of our industrial strategy based on ‘urban mining’,” explained CEO Omar Antonio Cescut, underlining how direct access to key territories such as Poland and Vietnam strengthens the company’s competitiveness.
BTT Italia’s hydrometallurgical technology, installed in the “Hydro B One” plant in Terranuova Bracciolini (Arezzo) and operational since December 2024 under the management of IREN SpA, allows the recovery of strategic metals from WEEE without incineration and with minimal environmental impact.
IC&Partners, with offices from Houston to Ho Chi Minh City, will offer BTT a widespread platform for approaching new markets, integrating its expertise in the areas of tax, legal, human resources and export management. “The circular economy is one of today’s great challenges,” said Roberto Corciulo, president of IC&Partners, “and BTT represents a virtuous example of how a regulatory requirement can be transformed into a concrete opportunity for growth.”
After Nord Engineering's entry into the Tuscan capital (60% of the shares acquired in 2024), the collaboration with IC&Partners confirms the push towards a new international positioning for BTT Italia, between environmental sustainability, innovation and hi-tech industry.
