The wonderful floral craftsmanship of the Dior Autumn Winter 2026 runway show
It is a winter garden that inspires the floral craftsmanship of Dior’s Autumn-Winter 2026 collection. Jonathan Anderson continues to draw inspiration from nature (the couture had previously been influenced by a bouquet of cyclamens gifted to the designer by John Galliano) for his vision of Dior, which returns to the historic location of the Jardin des Tuileries, on a runway suspended over water with glass walls.

Here, the models showcase all the maison’s artisanal wonder, with flowers as the protagonists, expressed in an impressive variety of techniques, most notably the 3D embroidery created in collaboration with the Vermont atelier.

A corolla of enamelled metal petals embracing golden stamens crowned with transparent crystals adorns T-bar sandals in floral jacquard fabric. A giant chrysanthemum decorates the matelassé bag and the perforated dress dotted with tiny embroidered flowers. Water lily flowers bloom in jewel versions on the models’ hands and ears.
And they appear in every detail, from the fabrics of the structured dresses to the silk pumps decorated with a rosebud, to the inlaid and lacquered wooden clutches inspired by Eastern tradition.

Whether one likes his direction or not, one thing is undeniable: Anderson believes in craftsmanship and celebrates it in every detail. If only for this, his Dior is wonderful.
