The baguette designs that captivate us from the new Fendi
The second day of Milan Fashion Week marked a highly anticipated debut: that of Maria Grazia Chiuri, who presented her vision for Fendi, centered on the Fendi sisters and their ability to combine creativity with pragmatism.

It was certainly a divisive collection, splitting the audience between those who appreciated the extreme wearability of the pieces and those who felt nostalgic for the playful codes the maison had established under Karl Lagerfeld and later Silvia Venturini Fendi.

There was one element, however, that definitely won everyone over: the bags. Or, more precisely, the baguettes, reimagined in countless treatments inspired by the archives to return as highly contemporary staples of today’s wardrobe.

From evening versions embroidered with sparkling black bead fringes to those with an Indian flair featuring the characteristic mirrors of Kutch embroidery, and even the fur designs echoing the floral motifs of Afghan coats, the message is clear: the baguette will reclaim its place at the heart of the maison, with artisanal craftsmanship that celebrates the heritage of a brand with a century of history.
