The most beautiful designs seen at NYFW
Here are the most interesting craftsmanship techniques of the Fall/Winter 2026–2027 season seen at New York Fashion Week.

A great deal of lace, sequins, and techniques that simulate fur. In New York, where the cold is icy, designers are thinking back to the days of The Great Gatsby. Beneath coats with fur collars and airy Mongolian outerwear, dresses sparkle thanks to iridescent and luminous fabrics and materials, as well as the heavy use of shiny decorations.
Michael Kors applies feathers on a sequined base, Area recreates a lace motif using black crystals, and Christian Siriano creates a delicate yet extremely elegant floral velvet pattern on tulle.

Diotima simulates fur with an intricate work of gathers, the result of a collaboration with Jamaican artisans and Refugee Atelier, which provides jobs for refugee women; Prabal Gurung bets on quilting.
