In times of crisis, the restart begins with Made in Italy
In times of crisis, the restart begins with Made in Italy The scandals regarding illegal hiring and irregularities in fashion production in Italy have revealed the fragilities of a system that remained hidden for a long time behind increasingly fragmented subcontracting chains. Today, however, transparency and traceability have become a priority, also dictated by consumers, who are increasingly careful to know who produces what they buy and under what conditions. For this reason, various companies in the supply chain see this moment as a possible turning point for the market: rewarding those who over the years have made transparency the cornerstone of the entire production process.
This is what Fabio Bacci of Creazioni Lorenza, a company specialized in metal accessories for fashion and leather goods, says. "For several years we have decided to invest in certifications, because they represent concrete proof not only of product quality, but also of worker safety, process sustainability, and our social responsibility."

In this way, one of the hot topics of production at the moment can also be guaranteed: traceability. "We have also joined the LEAF certification, which guarantees the sustainability of the entire production process, down to the single element, verifying that every phase respects rigorous standards," continues Fabio Bacci.
But for these criteria to be truly applied, a productive structure capable of supporting them is also needed, and for Creazioni Lorenza, it is verticalization. "All the major brands we work with subject us to strict audits, even unannounced, which we have always passed. This is because we follow the production directly in every single phase."

A choice that becomes crucial in a complex geopolitical context, where transport and supply chains suffer difficulties. "Having your own manufacturer on the territory, with the certainty that they are working well, will hopefully become the goal of more and more brands. A direct relationship with the producer facilitates communication, increases efficiency, and allows for a rapid response to the needs of the brands," concludes Fabio Bacci.
