The news of the next edition of Packaging Première and PCD Milan

About thirty days are left to the next edition of Packaging Première and PCD Milan and there are many news that will make this event a must for the packaging community.

Pier Paolo Ponchia, Founder and Director of Packaging Première, comments: "We are very optimistic for the 2022 edition: after two years of stop, we feel the desire and the need to return to touch the latest innovations, to find new business opportunities and to live a real experience of exchange and connection. For this reason we expect a good turnout, driven not only by the quality and variety of our exhibitors but also by the initiatives designed to meet this need for innovation and change".

In addition to the excellent selection of luxury and beauty packaging manufacturers, visitors will be able to enjoy a unique experience thanks to the initiatives and conferences that will offer a complete and in-depth view of the sector, such as the Avant-Garde project, which directly involves the exhibitors by inviting them to present the most surprising innovations in the luxury packaging sector: products with innovative features, which break the mould and go beyond industry trends or which make important advances in terms of environmental sustainability and energy saving.

The projects, selected by a qualified jury - made up of 10 prominent figures including university professors, designers and experts in innovation and sustainability in the packaging sector - will be exhibited in a dedicated area and presented on May 24, 2022 in the conference room.

Among the selected projects: Eska, Fedrigoni, Manifattura del Seveso, Panama Trimmings, Pozzoli, Arjowiggins, Valtenna, Baralan, Rissmann, Icma, Corvasce, Estal, Flyvision, HLP Klearfold, Cadica / Giorgi, Stilema, James Cropper, Arti Grafiche Nidasio. Special guest of the project Caffè Borbone and Venchi.

Always inclined to art in all its forms, Packaging Première hosts an Art Gallery on the theme of material recycling, composed of selected works by artists specialized in giving new life to materials, launching a message of innovation and sustainability through a creative and original approach: Annarita Serra, Alessandro Consoli, Silvia Faini, Roberto Vallini and Adriano Padovani are the protagonists of this edition. Their works - in plastic, glass, wood, electronic equipment waste and production waste - will be exhibited in a dedicated area, to enrich the experience of visitors and exhibitors, who will be able to admire them during the three days of the event. Moreover, in the Packaging Première lounge, Carlo Stanga, creator of the illustration for the 2022 edition of Packaging Première, will exhibit his works. The PCD Milan lounge will be animated by the works of Francesco Bongiorni, talented illustrator and winner of many international awards.

Sustainability and innovation will also be the leitmotif of the schedule of conferences that will be held during the event. Not to be missed is the in-depth look at the winners of the Pentawards competition, which recognizes excellence in the global packaging design community.
