Lvmh, Frédéric Arnault is new CEO of watch division

Lvmh reorganizes its "Watches and Jewelry" division, handing watchmaking to Frédéric Arnault. Taking office effective Jan. 1, the fourth son of Bernard Arnault, 29, who joined TAG Heuer in 2017 and became Ceo of Tag Heuer in 2020, has been appointed Ceo of Lvmh Watches, the new division dedicated to timepieces at the French luxury giant. He will be responsible for Hublot, Tag Heuer and Zenith and will report to Stephane Bianchi, Ceo of Lvmh's Watches and Jewelry division.

 

Frédéric Arnault Frederic began his professional career at the consulting firm McKinsey before moving to Facebook's artificial intelligence research department. He joined Tag Heuer in 2017, first to manage smartwatch activities, before being appointed chief strategy and digital officer in October 2018 and becoming ceo in July 2020. In this role, managing more than 2,000 people, he engaged the company in a complete transformation declined around one goal: brand elevation and desirability.

The new organization sees Julien Tornare, ceo of Zenith since 2017, become ceo of Tag Heuer, while Benoit de Clerck succeeds him as ceo of Zenith. Both, along with Ricardo Guadalupe, Ceo of Hublot, will report to Frederic Arnault. "It is a real pride for me and a great pleasure to see Julien take the helm of Tag Heuer," added Stephane Bianchi. "His entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional leadership skills and strong international and watchmaking background will be decisive in pursuing Tag Heuer's elevation.
