The Gommino kicks into high gear: here's the first collection signed by Tod's and Lamborghini

Hand-stitching and hypertechnological design, performance and attention to detail. The project born from the union between two iconic brands of made in Italy, combining savoir fare and innovation, has given its first result. It was the audience at Pitti Uomo, in Florence, to see unveiled the first footwear collection born from the partnership between Automobili Lamborghini and Tod's. A collaboration announced just under a year ago that carries forward the goal of making luxury leather goods, footwear, clothing and accessories under the banner of Italian craftsmanship and tradition, but also of technological research and innovation. And the newly presented driving shoes are a practical demonstration of this.

The collection embraces men's and women's shoes and features two models: the iconic Tod's Gommino and the sneaker. The Gommino features a new silhouette that echoes the livery of Lamborghini super sports cars, giving them a gritty mood; the tubular banded detailing increases the aerodynamic appeal, creating movement and elegance. On the soles, the characteristic gommini, reinterpreted by drawing on Lamborghini design, become macro, picking up the color of the heel or upper. The leathers used come from the best tanneries in the world, and the production process requires a high level of craftsmanship: leather cutting and visible stitching are done by hand.

The moccasins come in some of the symbolic colors of the two brands: light blue, green, yellow or black with a contrasting back shell. Colors that are also found on the sneakers, in smooth leather with suede inserts. The rubber sole with contrasting profile and the iconic rubbers on the heel make the line of the shoe more dynamic, while the presence of the logos, Tod's on the tongue and Automobili Lamborghini on the side, seal this collaboration under the banner of the most exclusive Italian lifestyle. A co-branding project that celebrates craftsmanship and innovation, balancing research and respect for traditional manufacturing, design and attention to detail: qualities that define the two companies, each a leader in its field.
