INSIDE is born: the behind-the-scenes look at fashion trends according to Leather&Luxury
It was held on Friday, December 1st, at Intertek's headquarters in Lastra a Signa (FI), the first edition of "INSIDE," the event conceived and promoted by Leather&Luxury that aims to become a meeting point and opportunity for dialogue between producers and style offices of fashion brands from all over Italy and beyond.
It was a participated and lively meeting during which Pier Francesco Pitasi of MOODsign Studio and Carlo Sorrenti, founder and CEO of Domino Ego, moderated by Matteo Rovelli, Marketing Manager of L&L, presented the results of their trend forecasting activities respectively on themes and materials for the SS/25 season.
"The SS25 visionary scenarios that we forecasted and proposed for Leather&Luxury," explained Pitasi of MOODsign Studio, "all point to the theme of estrangement from reality embodied in four different modes and nuances: the search for ethereal lightness of the Poetic theme, the pristine and wild escapism of Sauvage, the escape into the imaginary fantastic of Bizarre, and finally, the refuge from materialism pushed into the spiritual contemplative of Divine. To identify these moods we relied on sociological considerations, on suggestions of the soul, on contexts rooted in what is lived life, the life of each of us interpreting our needs and desires."
All of this work has resulted in the creation of surprising, intriguing and sustainable materials that open the doors of fashion to multiple creative solutions. "The materials developed for INSIDE," says Sorrenti of the Domino Ego agency, "take us into a world where formal and well-made prevail again, where longlasting, for wardrobe continuity, and timeless tailoring go hand in hand with the demands of sustainability and elegance. Women will have a distinct femininity without sacrificing the ease given in more recent times by athleisure. Above all, a new form of craftsmanship 4.0 emerges, which has already been the protagonist of this first edition of INSIDE."
