A dialogue between urban and bucolic, tradition and technology: a further declination of Fendi's dualism studded with must-have garments. Reflecting a life lived between the hustle and bustle of the city and the relaxed style of the English countryside, the wardrobe designed for Fall/Winter 2024-25 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, creative director of the Maison's men's and accessories lines. A combination designed to give answers that surprise, to trace a common thread in menswear in which silhouettes, hybrid and mutable, meet the skill of old and new techniques.
A sartorial graft between Scottish kilts worn with leather rain boots and socks, evening suits in shiny satin and lurex, Casentino and loden coats, opulent bomber jackets and outerwear with velvet and leather details, waxed FF canvas jackets and pleated leather trench coats. The palette combines the colors of autumn woods, such as forest green and brown, with accents of yellow and denim blue; it is complemented by shades of gray like the autumn sky, the same in the city or on the moors.
And then the triumph of accessories, from the new Siesta Bag, large and soft as a pillow, to the Melon Hobo with chrome FF2 hardware. Back are the blunt lines of the Soft Trunk baguette, padded along with the smooth shape of the Peekaboo ISeeU Soft. A reinterpretation of this model, deconstructed with painted aluminum details, is the focus of a collaboration between Fendi and Ma Yansong/MAD Architects; a futuristic slip-on sneaker accompanies it. Plus platform boat shoes and leather Wellington boots with Selleria stitching.
Space was also given to technology: in fact, the Men's Fall/Winter 2024-25 fashion show offered an opportunity to present the Fendi x Devialet Mania portable speaker. Designed by the French haute technologie engineering team, it is encased in a brown and tobacco FF case with gold details or in gray and black with silver details. Worn as an accessory, it is actually a 360° stereo speaker capable of returning exceptional audio purity.
