There is an increasing demand to supply leather panels already cut to size for mounting on the bag or other items. In addition, the continuous pressure on tanneries to provide samples immediately or within a very short time frame is now well known.
Thus was born "RoboSpray", a versatile machine to meet both needs. The 6-axis robot equipped with the innovative 2-circuit color spray technology tool capable of finishing an entire leather by simulating production systems (rotary, elliptical, alternating) and is also capable of making stripes, shades and patterns thanks to its intuitive software. In addition, the robotic system, thanks to a suction cup tool, allows automatic handling of all types of leather and leather panels. In an increasingly hectic and demanding world, you can be ready for all emergencies.
The tanning process is a very complex and specialized system for which a labor force of experience and high level in specific skills is required.
Although craftsmanship is essential, there are some stages where labor is superfluous as the operator simply performs a purely labor function, feeding the process lines with leather, taking it from the flatbeds, goats or chain. Where manual dexterity is really essential is at the 'outlet of the process line where quality control as well as leather handling and manipulation is performed.
We have invented and patented various robotic and automatic handling systems where non-highly skilled labor is superfluous and not essential, achieving the result of decreasing fixed costs and mobilizing the role of operators in the tannery by avoiding wearisome and unsatisfactory work.
From an idea that seemed impossible and visionary, a new BRS (Barnini Robot System) brand was born, created for the most skeptical, created for those who say it is impossible, created for those who cannot see the future and are content with the knowledge of the present. 3 different solutions were made, all patented and working at 2 relevant tanneries in Tuscany and at our in-house R&D lab.
