Chi Ri-Cerca Trova: From tobacco leaves, an alternative plant-based material
A 100% alternative material made by processing tobacco leaves. This is the innovation proposed by Nuvi Releaf. A reality born in Germany from the initiative of Nina Rössler who left her job as a designer to travel and give her convictions a 'chance': choosing to protect the planet. Thus was born a research work that led to the creation of a material that is biodegradable, vegan and plastic-free, yet versatile and durable.
After an initial attempt in 2014 with teak leaves and seven years of research and development to make a plant-based material, Nuvi Releaf now makes next-generation products using recycled tobacco waste, in line with the highest ethical and sustainability standards. In addition to tobacco leaves, the German company processes marble, plaster and other materials, achieving an unprecedented balance between sustainability and technology. The result: a durable product that meets the needs of conscious consumers, designers and global industry.
