Free from cyanide, without compromise

There are cyanide-free solutions on the market that offer advantages both economically and ecologically. Legor fits into this context with its innovative cyanide-free products dedicated to the world of jewelry and fashion accessories, formulated to ensure the safety of the galvanic operator and decrease environmental impact.

Specifically, then, what are the benefits of using cyanide-free electroplating solutions?

First and foremost, safety: by eliminating this substance, both electroplating operators and surrounding communities are safe from any fires, poisonings or explosions caused by cyanide.

From the environmental point of view, the most obvious benefit is a reduced production of hazardous waste with the consequent protection of water, soil and air. Last but not least, the significant economic savings due to reduced storage costs of disposal products of wash water, spent solutions and vacuum systems.

Based on all these virtuous principles, Legor Group has developed an entire line of cyanide-free electroplating solutions designed to meet the various needs of the metal jewelry and fashion accessories sectors. Prominent among these is the FLASHGOLD-EVO flash gold plating process, formulated without the use of cyanide chemical complexes, and without nickel, thanks to which the electroplating operator is free to formulate the ready-to-use bath to his or her liking, being able to achieve any coloration of the deposited gold, with guaranteed uniformity, simply by addition of the necessary amounts of alloying metals in the make-up.

Another round, another run with cyanide-free alkaline copper plating: the CUBASE705CF process enables direct copper plating on brass and iron alloys. It has good adhesion on zamak and zinc alloys, and gives ductile, glossy deposits over a wide range of applied current densities. It also does not necessarily require pre-coating and has a deposition rate similar to cyanide processes.

Another offering in Legor Group's range is GOLDENROSE, the totally cyanide-free 18kt pink gilding. This is a galvanic process suitable for decorative applications that require a gold deposit with special hardness, in a pinkish hue capable of reaching thicknesses up to 2 microns. The gold is co-deposited with copper to generate an alloy with an 18 kt title that allows high savings in production costs. GOLDENROSE, in addition to being cyanide-free, is also lead- and cadmium-free.
