A bag made inside water

It's not quite 100 percent water but a water-based gel that allows RapidLiquidPrint, the company that made the latest version of Coperni's now-iconic Swipe bag, to 3D print allowing objects to remain soft and almost elastic.

It is with them that the brand famous for innovations bordering on the impossible was able to produce the Ariel Swipe Bag, a tribute to the Little Mermaid that is the result of Coperni's collaboration with Disneyland Paris, the location of this season's fashion show.

The bag is made of recycled, platinum-cured silicone, and was printed with an innovative process that involves the use of a water-based gel inside which the object is printed, which then remains in a gravity-free environment. This technique, in addition to minimizing environmental impact, allows the silicone to remain soft and stretchy. Not only that, it can be worn immediately taken out of the gel.

This is not the first time that Coperni has amazed with its ability to combine provocation and research: last season it had launched a bag composed of 99 percent air made using a NASA-patented material, while in 2023 it had brought to the runway the Meteorite Bag, made with real moon stone.
