Every season, Prada manages to attract the attention of the fashion world. For Autumn Winter 2025, it presents a series of accessories with a lived-in aesthetic, in which wear becomes a distinctive sign of luxury. An effect studied down to the smallest detail, as Chiara Piran of Conceria La Veneta explained.
The focus is on materials, enhanced in their authenticity, without artifice. The bags, for example, adopt a technique that reproduces ageing: starting from a dark cowhide, the colour is strategically removed in the central areas to create areas of wear, giving a textured, three-dimensional look.
The shoes also follow the same principle. Made of buffalo leather, they are worked by hand to achieve a worn effect. Through targeted abrasions, the surface takes on colour variations and a rough, deliberately imperfect texture. In addition, the leather is thinned in places to accentuate the worn appearance, making each model unique.
In an era dominated by artificial perfection, Prada chooses to bring the focus back to the raw material in its most authentic form. Luxury becomes real, tangible and unfiltered.
