The Autumn Winter 2025 shows consecrated leather as the undisputed protagonist, with the Parisian catwalks exploring its potential through new and innovative approaches. Here, leather was fused with knitwear, with sophisticated technical constructions. Brands experimented with material mixes and unusual combinations, and applied traditional knitwear techniques to the use of leather with results that had a strong scenic impact.

Knitwear with leather inserts by Hermès
In the Leather Dandy collection, leather inserts blend with knitwear, creating a refined play of material contrasts. Leather strips are precisely allocated in the ribbed work of tops, jumpers and dresses, becoming a common thread throughout the collection. The result is an aesthetic in which the equestrian world, the brand's stylistic signature, is expressed through refined experimentation.

The leather mesh of Rick Owens
Rick Owens, known for his brutalist and avant-garde aesthetic, renews his collaboration with Parisian designer Victor Clavelly to create new creations in woven leather. The material chosen for this mesh dress, a rump of cowhide, is laser-cut and hand-woven, resulting in a mesh dress that is both fluid and robust at the same time, balancing the rigidity of leather with the softness of knitwear.

Alaïa's knitted leather
Paying homage to Azzedine Alaïa's passion for sculpture, the collection imagined by Pieter Mulier pushes the potential of knitwear to its limits, integrating leather in a surprising way. One of the most iconic pieces is a sculpture top constructed with leather-covered ropes then knitted, creating a silhouette with an imposing stage presence. The tubular collar blends with the rest of the garment, creating a sophisticated interplay of texture and volume.
