IX-Cube: the infinite faces of furnishing according to Erre Bibi

A modular design furniture system that rests on four elements: it is redesignable, sustainable, customizable and made in Italy. Endless are the facets of IX-Cube, a project born from the experience of Bergamo-based company Erre Bibi, which has been making clothing accessories and small leather goods for major brands for more than 30 years.

"For almost 20 years we have also been working in the furniture and design sector in collaboration with an architectural firm in Bergamo," explains Corrado Mariani, administrator of Erre Bibi. "From the meeting between Aldo Belbruti and architect Finazzi, the IX-Cube project was born, an innovative and patented modular furniture concept. We compare it to the colored bricks we all played with as children, because it allows us to 'design' individual seats or compositions from time to time, creating different combinations of materials and colors each time. It is also a system that is always redesignable, which distinguishes it from other modular products, and its components are reusable, making it an example of sustainability."

Presented at the Milan Furniture Fair in 2022 and 2023, the system designed by architect Finazzi and developed by Erre Bibi is based on 22-cm multiples of different heights that can be combined to create an infinite number of shapes, according to one's creativity. There is also no limit to the choice of finishes: leather in all its declinations (smooth, embroidered, digitally printed), jeans, fabrics, but also special, high-performance materials that make it possible to use even in "difficult" sectors such as the nautical one. The four segments of which the cushion is composed can "come alive" with different colors and materials to create graphic effects or special and super-customized combinations. In short, create emotions!

Thanks to its versatile soul, but also to its durability, IX-Cube can be placed in residential settings, but also in business or commercial environments, hotels, cruise ships and much more. Recently, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in the United Arab Emirates has made IX-Cube known in the Riyadh and Dubai areas, and there are already some potential customers interested in using this innovative all-Italian system for realizations in public spaces.
