A bestseller and a new product that has already won over visitors during the last Lineapelle. These are the flagship items around which Tannery Il Ponte 's participation in the 2024 edition of the APLF HK fair, scheduled to take place at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from March 19th to 21st, will focus. At its booth (3F-E22-IT) it will present its entire collection, declined as per tradition on vegetable-tanned leathers, in which the company has specialized since 1961.
"We are participating in the Hong Kong fair with the aim of increasing our sales in Asian countries," explains Martina Squarcini, sales manager and third generation of Conceria Il Ponte. We will bring you our entire collection, 100% vegetable. We are part of the Genuine Italian Vegetable-Tanned Leather Consortium, with its trademark synonymous with excellence: interested customers can request guarantee tags certifying that our leather is tanned with plant extracts such as mimosa and quebracho."
At the expo, the company will present for the first time the Vacchetta Belly, in both smooth and ruffled versions, a classic item repurposed in a modern guise. "It is a classic product because the tanning is done following the most ancient artisan traditions," explains Squarcini, "but it is also an innovative article because it has passed specific resistance tests, such as color fastness to dry and wet rubbing and the anti scotch test: a rare feature for a natural and transparent article, which reflects the craftsmanship of our leather made in Tuscany.
Maya Article
Unmissable, the Maya article, which has now become a worldwide bestseller that the tannery aims to spread to the Asian market as well. Maya is a 100 percent vegetable-dyed, barrel-dyed leather finished in an artistic style that creates beautiful texture and color variations. As many as thirty-five colors are always available in the company's warehouse. Two products, in short, symbolic of the company's sustainable attitude, which precisely because of its concern for the environment, has received Lwg Gold certification.
