A journey into the minds of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, but also and above all a love letter to the craftsmanship masters, who year after year give life thanks to workmanship and skills that have been handed down for generations, to the Haute Couture, Haute Couture and Haute Jewellery creations envisioned by Dolce & Gabbana.
It's FROM THE HEART TO THE HANDS, the exhibition that from April 7th to July 31st at the Palazzo Reale in Milan pays tribute to the extraordinary tradition of Italian handmade goods and invites the public to participate in the artistic process that leads to the creation of the maison's creations. A process that can be seen live: every Friday, in fact, tailors and seamstresses from the atelier will be at work in a dedicated salon within the exhibition route. Curated by French art historian Florence Müller, the exhibition is divided into 10 chapters, each dedicated to a theme, from the one inspired by the ancient Venetian glassmakers, with dresses and capes decorated with hand-applied glass flowers like delicate jewelry to the white baroque of the 2022 Alta Moda collection that pays homage to the Greek roots of Sicily, which was the birthplace of the brand's two founders.
«Our dream is that as many young people as possible come to see the exhibition and know and understand what cultural heritage and craftsmanship they have here. In short, they discover Made in Italy and fall in love with it as it happened to us». Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana
