Paying homage to craftsmanship and its workers in all their expressions, telling the story of the excellence of Made in Italy in all its nuances: this is The Art of Craftmanship A project by Venetian Masters by Tod's, which has always been a promoter and supporter of the art and culture of our country, which in Venice celebrated the mastery of traditional craftsmanship in collaboration with 11 Venetian masters.
From master glassmaker Roberto Beltrami to Italy's and Europe's latest artisan baptiloro, awarded the Maestro d'Arte e Mestiere distinction, Marino Menegazzo, the artists were called upon to reinterpret the Italian brand's iconic product, the Gommino, rethinking it as a work of art to be made following the peculiar techniques of their workshop.
The project was presented in Venice on the occasion of the opening of the Biennale and celebrated with a limited-edition capsule collection that includes a Timeless shopping T and a pair of Gommino loafers in a particularly soft variant of calfskin, dyed in the cardinal red that symbolizes the lagoon city.
